Where's the Honeymoon?

We're going to the Maldives!
Specifically, the Gili Lankanfushi Maldives.


Where's that?
The Maldives are located southwest of India and Sri Lanka.

How long is the flight?
If you could fly nonstop from DFW-MLE, it clocks in at 9806 mi. In our case, we're flying through New York and Abu Dhabi first, which adds 328mi. It's 20 hours and 40 minutes of scheduled flight time heading out, 22 hours and 21 minutes coming home.

Who are you flying?
Virgin America to New York's LGA, Etihad for the international components (JFK-AUH-MLE-AUH-JFK, A380 to/from Abu Dhabi), and American on our final leg home, JFK-DFW.

How long will you be gone?
We leave Dallas the day after the wedding, and the States the day after that. We'll be gone a total of 12 days.

What time is it there?
It's currently 8:31pm on Friday, May 2, 2025.

How do we reach you?
You don't! We're taking this time to rest, and enjoy the first two weeks of our married life in peace. The computers are staying home, we'll only have our phones, and those will stay powered off most of the time!

What if it's an emergency?
Given the nature and logistics of our honeymoon, we can't do much to change our trip, but if you absolutely must get ahold of us, you can leave a message at (646) 783-0356, which our close friend Tina will monitor.

Why the Maldives?
It ticks all our boxes! Exotic destination, preferably an island/beach getaway, to a country we haven't been, and appropriately, more "special" than our previous trips!
